OCMS Third Annual Online Auction Raised Over $37,000!

The 2004 OCMS Online Auction closed Wednesday, December 15, 2004. Thanks to your participation, this years’ Online Auction has raised over $37,000. Events like these help us continue to present affordable, world-class chamber music, as well as our Winter Concert Series, Family Music Fair, and the award-winning Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival.

We had some furious bidding. Here are some of the auction items which produced the highest bids:

• A beachfront house in Médoc, France;
• Dinner and a concert for 10 at the Embassy of Switzerland, with cellist Julian Armour and pianist Andrew Tunis;
• A romantic Quebec City getaway package;
• “Green Piano and Strings” painting by Anne Wanda Tessier; and,
• A Toronto getaway package, including a night at the symphony and a stay in a luxury hotel.

The 3rd Online Auction was an incredible collaboration by staff, volunteers and donors. This fundraiser would have been impossible without the support of our sponsor Real Decoy and our two co-chairs Patricia Parulekar, Launchpad Business Solutions, and Pamela McDonald, CD Warehouse.

We have already begun planning for our 4th Online Auction, which will take place from November 15 to December 15, 2005.
*the 2005 auction will start June 1, extended to support the new Concert Hall.
