The Ottawa Chamber Music Society works hard to ensure that administrative costs are kept as low as possible. Only 19.7% of our total expenditures are on administrative salaries, rent, equipment and other office expenses. This means that your donation has a direct impact on the artistic work we produce.

Your support brings music to young people!

Family Music Fair, bringing classical music to young people.

With huge cuts in education, young people have very few opportunities to be exposed to classical music, despite the well-documented impact of music on creativity and intelligence. The OCMS is committed to exposing young people to classical music.

Our Family Music Fair, which is free to everyone, has received wide-spread praise for inspiring excitement and enthusiasm for classical music in young people.

The Society also offers young people's concerts during the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival and has been a leader in making student tickets affordable throughout the year.

Ticket revenue doesn’t cover costs …

Many people are under the impression that ticket revenue covers most of our expenses. In fact, ticket revenue only covers 23.9% of our costs. The world-class concerts you enjoy are funded by a wide variety of sources.
