Advertising Sales and
Sponsorship Coordinator
Duration: 30 weeks
Reports to: Director of Development
and Executive Director
Job Summary: Recruits advertisers
for the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival
souvenir programme and the Ottawa Chamber Music
Society Concert Series.
Responsibilities:
- recruits advertisers for the 2006 and
2007 souvenir programme; does the necessary
follow-up for getting art-work, sending invoices,
etc.; ensures that all ads are included in the
program
- has full knowledge and understanding
of the organization’s purpose, goals and
objectives
- liaises with Festival sponsors; in collaboration
with the Director of Development, ensures that
the Festival fulfills its responsibilities to
its sponsors
- assists in preparation of corporate
sponsorship package for the 2006 and 2007 Festivals
- initiates contact with potential sponsors
and follow-up
- all other duties as needed
Skills Required: Excellent
writing, verbal communication and interpersonal
skills required. Public relations and sales
experience an asset.
Industry Contacts: Will meet
representatives of corporations and area businesses.
Will meet with all marketing and sponsorship
and sponsorship representatives of organizations
involved with the Festival and Concert Series.
Will also interact with Ottawa Chamber Music
Society board members and other OCMS supporters.

Box Office Coordinator / Office Assistant
Duration: 30 weeks
Reports to: Director of Operations and Volunteer Coordinator
Job Summary: Coordinates box office sales, ticket printing,
distribution, and tracking, donations, and cash receipts, and handles
all aspects of office organization.
Responsibilities:
- Order festival passes for summer festival and concert tickets for
all concert series
- Distribute tickets and passes to ticket outlets, track sales, and
collect unused tickets and receipts
- Coordinate box office tracking system for audit trail, including
all tickets available for sale, redemption certificates, gift certificates,
and complimentary tickets, and reconcile to cash receipts
- Process telephone and mail order ticket sales, and record ticket
outlet sales
- Record ticket and merchandise venue sales
- Prepare and reconcile bank deposits and credit card sales
- Record and track cash donations and donations in kind, prepare donation
receipts, and maintain audit trail for all receipt numbers
- Answer telephones, redirect calls, maintain voicemail system, and
respond to inquiries
- Direct incoming mail; handle outgoing mail and courier and maintenance
of and supplies for office equipment; monitor and order office and other
supplies
- Working with the Volunteer Coordinator, schedule and train volunteer
office staff
- Update and maintain general administrative files and front desk instructions
and protocols
- All other duties as required
Skills required:
- Good verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Skilled in Excel, knowledge of Word
- Detail oriented, team player
- Cash handling an asset
- Bilingual an asset

Graphic Designer
Duration: 30 weeks
Reports to: Communications
Director
Job Summary: Implements the
design of all publicity materials for the Ottawa
International Chamber Music Festival and the
Ottawa Chamber Music Society.
Responsibilities:
- has full knowledge and understanding of
the organization’s purpose, goals and
objectives
- works with the Executive Director, Director
of Operations, Communications Director, Webmaster
in the design of all publications and publicity
materials including:
concert schedule, newsletters, souvenir programme,
newspaper and magazine ads, flyers, concert
tickets, all other publication and publicity
materials as needed.
Skills Required: Excellent
computer skills required. Experience with Quark
X-press or other desktop publishing programs.
Industry Contacts: Will work
regularly with graphic designers and representatives
from the publishing and printing industries,
sponsors and advertisers, as well as media representatives
from major newspapers and magazines.

The Human Resource Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) - Job Creation Program
(JCP) candidate eligibility is determined according to the following criteria:
- Candidates must currently be in receipt of Employment Insured (EI)
payments or have received EI payments within the last 3 years (Reach
back)
- Candidates must be living in Ottawa
- Candidates must not be studying full-time
- Candidates must not be working full-time
- Candidates must have had their EI status verified through the Ottawa
Festival Network
- Candidates may not leave employment to participate in the JCP
- Candidates may only participate in the JCP once in a 2 year period.
