The Ottawa Chamber Music Society regrets the resignation of the Society’s founder and Artistic Director, Julian Armour.

As has been widely reported in the Media, the Society’s Board of Directors and Mr. Armour were not able to align their artistic and financial visions for the OCMS’s future. The Society's Board of Directors and staff wish Julian Armour the very best in all of his future professional and personal endeavours.

In keeping with Julian Armour’s tradition, the Society’s Board of Directors is committed to presenting the 14th Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival this summer. The search for a new artistic director has begun and the programming for this year’s Festival will be announced later this spring in the same manner as past years. Preliminary planning already points to a strong festival line-up for this year’s Festival.

The Society would like to extend a special thank you to our devoted Festival-goers, volunteers, sponsors and musicians for your ongoing support! Without your on-going and loyal support Julian could never have built the world’s largest Chamber Music Festival.
