Box Office Policies
Please carefully review these important terms and conditions of sale.
HST is not included in published ticket, service charge, and handling prices.
There are no refunds or cancellations. All sales final.
Passport Prime and Festival Gala Miniseries subscribers may exchange unused Festival Gala tickets and pay no ticket exchange fee. Single-ticket buyers pay a $2.50 exchange fee per ticket. You may exchange your tickets for equivalent seating of equal value at any other Festival Gala concert. Please note that “equal value” is the full purchase price of a single ticket, less your subscriber discount. Contact our box office at 613.234.6306 for assistance. If this exchange option does not suit your needs, we provide charitable tax receipts for the value of the ticket or tickets you do not use. Requests for charitable tax receipts must be made before September 30, 2016.
If you lose your reserved-seating Festival Gala tickets, please contact our box office at 613-234-6306. If your purchase can be verified, we will reprint your tickets for a $2.50 handling fee per ticket. Subscribers may have their entire subscription reprinted ONCE without charge. Tickets are reprinted at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to decline service for any reason.
When you buy a 3-day festival passport, you will receive three (3) vouchers. These are not tickets; they will not admit you to events at the 2016 festival. At the first event you attend, present one (1) of your vouchers at the event’s clearly-marked Will Call booth. We will give you a self-expiring pass that admits you to all of that day’s events (Festival Galas not included). At the end of your day, the pass automatically voids and can no longer be used. Do this for each of the three festival days you choose.
We offer reserved seating only for our Festival Gala concerts. These take place at Dominion-Chalmers
United Church, 355 Cooper Street. We sell reserved seating tickets by pew, in sections. There are three sections: A (47), B (35), and C (29).
All other concerts are general admission seating. That means you show your passport or ticket at the door, enter, and find a seat on a first-come, first-served basis.
Priority seating applies only to general admission concerts. Priority seating is a benefit that we include with Passport Prime and single-concert tickets. Priority seating is not included with Passport Two, Passport, Discovery, 3-Day, or PixSix. Passport Prime passholders and patrons with single concert tickets enter first. Patrons with Passport Two, Passport, Discovery, 3-Day, or PixSix tickets enter when priority seating is complete. All seating at general admission concerts is on a first-come, first-served basis.
No Guarantee of Admission
We do not guarantee seating for general admission events. Each venue has four rows of seats reserved for Passport Prime passholders and patrons with single concert tickets. If these seats are not full 15 minutes before curtain, we release them on a first-come, first-served basis. We advise patrons with priority seating Passport Prime and single-concert tickets to arrive at least 15 minutes before doors open to the public.
If you arrive at a general admission event after all seats have been filled, you will not be admitted into the venue. This policy is in compliance with municipal fire codes. We are not responsible if you arrive late and cannot be seated. If you arrive late to a concert and seats are available, you will be admitted into the closest available seat at a suitable break in the performance. You may move to another seat during intermission. We ask all late-comers to respect other patrons’ enjoyment of the performance.
SERVICE CHARGE. Sales at OCMS remote box offices at show venues are subject to a $5 per ticket, miniseries, or passport service charge. This service charge covers our cost to provide mobile wireless box offices at each venue. We offer this premium service as a convenience, so that our customers may acquire tickets up to a few minutes before each event. If you do not wish to pay this fee, please buy your tickets in advance. You may buy your tickets in advance, by phone (613-234-6306) or at our box office (4 Florence Street Suite 201, corner Bank and Florence), up to one hour before each event during published box office hours.
UNIT FEE. Online orders. $2 per ticket. The unit fee covers the cost to fulfill your ticket request when
purchasing online. It includes such services as taking and maintaining your order on our ticketing system, arranging for shipping and/or coordinating Will Call with the appropriate mobile box office.
SHIPPING CHARGE. Online orders: We do not charge a fee to mail your tickets to you, when you purchase them online. (The unit fee, above, covers this cost.) Telephone and mail orders: $4 per order. The Shipping Charge includes such services as taking and maintaining your order on our ticketing system, preparing your order for shipping, paying the postage fee, and transporting your order to Canada Post for delivery.
WHEELCHAIR SEATING. Our venues provide accessible reserved seating for wheelchairs and scooters. Please reserve an accessible seat with the Ottawa Chamberfest Box Office when you purchase your ticket. You cannot reserve an accessible reserved seat online.
SERVICE ANIMALS. Guide animals are permitted to stay with their owners throughout festival events.
COMPANIONS AND CAREGIVERS. Companions and caregivers can be seated next to the individuals they accompany. These tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Companions and caregivers are entitled to a 10% discount on all tickets and passes. Please call our box office for details.
