Carissa Klopoushak has made a name for herself as a curious, creative, and versatile musician. She leads a multifaceted musical life as a violinist, violist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and curator. A charismatic and engaging performer, Carissa’s playing has been described as “the complete package of sensitive musicianship and effortless technique” (E-Gré Competition). Based in Ottawa, Canada, she is a proud member of the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Ironwood Quartet, and serves as Artistic Director of Ottawa Chamberfest.

Carissa Klopoushak is an experienced and articulate host, and brings all her musical knowledge to bear when leading a Chamber Chat. Drawing on rich musical backgrounds of hosts and guests, these chats create special connections between guest musicians and our audiences by diving deep into topics surrounding music, the arts, and creativity. Guest artists and creators from all over the world share their favourite stories and video clips, engaging with participants who have a virtual front-row seat to the discussion or who are ready to attend the performers’ imminent concert in our Concert Series or Festival environment.
