Inclusive, Accessible, and Sensory-Friendly
At Chamberfest’s Adapted Concerts (formerly Sensory Friendly Concerts), artists create welcoming concerts for children and people with sensory sensitivities, on the autism spectrum, or with other considerations. Stretch breaks, visual aids, storytelling, and movable seating promote a creative and safe space to have fun with music.

Family and friends are welcomed into a concert experience that has special considerations like pre-concert visual aids, storytelling, and flexible spaces for movement, ensuring a comfortable environment for all to be creative and have fun with music.
This performance features flutist Lara Deutsch and guitarist Adam Cicchillitti, longtime friends and collaborators. About the artists:
Known for their onstage charisma and camaraderie, Adam & Lara began performing together in 2019 after discovering their mutual love for the music of Piazzolla. With an established discography as individual artists on the Analekta and Leaf Music labels, as well as numerous accolades in their respective fields, one of the primary focuses of the duo is to perform and promote the works of their Canadian friends and colleagues internationally. Recent performance highlights include a livestream recital as part of the National Arts Centre and Facebook’s #CanadaPerforms initiative in addition to concerts for Ottawa Chamberfest’s “Chamberpints” series and the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières recital series. Passionate about community outreach, Adam & Lara also recently participated in Mécénat Musica’s “Mini-Concerts Santé” program and partnered with the City of Ottawa to record a concert for broadcast in seniors residences across the city. The duo is looking forward to recording their debut album in 2022 on the Leaf Music label.
