Chamberfest’s Adaptive Concerts (presented in partnership with Lotus Music) are welcoming, accessible performances designed for people of all ages and abilities, including autistic, neurodivergent, disabled, and sensory-sensitive audience members. Family members, friends, caregivers, and support workers are warmly welcomed.

These relaxed concerts invite audiences to experience music in ways that feel comfortable and engaging. Listeners are free to move, respond, vocalize, participate, or simply enjoy the music in their own way. Through interactive performances, storytelling, and flexible concert environments, Adaptive Concerts create opportunities for meaningful musical experiences while reducing barriers that can make attending live performances difficult for some community members.

Our Adaptive Concerts are designed to support a wide range of access needs and may include:

• Accessible and inclusive venues
• Flexible seating options, including
• chairs, floor seating, and open space for movement
• Sensory supports such as noise-cancelling headphones, fidgets, and drawing materials
• Pre-concert resources and visual stories to help audiences prepare for their visit
• A quiet space available for breaks as needed
• Freedom to enter and exit the performance space throughout the concert
• Interactive and adapted programming created by the artists
• A welcoming atmosphere where natural movement, participation, and vocalizations are accepted and encouraged
• Free or reduced-cost admission
