Beyond the Concert Hall
Chamberfest isn’t just about what happens on stage – it’s about bringing music into everyday spaces, connecting artists and audiences across Ottawa in fresh, inspiring ways. From sunrise yoga sessions to bar concerts, from record shop hangouts to outdoor performances, our CEE programming celebrates creativity, connection, and community.
Chamberfest’s City Series takes place exclusively at Ottawa City Hall, presenting three special free lunchtime concerts from April to May. These midday performances offer an accessible and welcoming way to experience live chamber music in the heart of downtown Ottawa.
Audiences can expect a relaxed, informal lunchtime atmosphere – perfect for a midday break – featuring performances by emerging local artists, with a strong emphasis on youth musicians from the Ottawa region. Each concert showcases the next generation of talent, offering a glimpse into the city’s vibrant and evolving music community.
Programs reflect Chamberfest’s signature blend of core classical repertoire and engaging, creative works, presented in a way that is approachable for both dedicated concertgoers and those discovering chamber music for the first time. Bring your lunch, drop in, and enjoy an inspiring musical pause in your day – no tickets required!

Yoga & Movement with Music
Start your day with music and mindfulness. Chamberfest’s popular music and yoga sessions invite audiences to experience live classical performance in a uniquely restorative way – combining the serenity of gentle movement with the resonance of live chamber music.
Led by local yoga, dance, and movement instructors, with live accompaniment from some of Chamberfest’s most beloved artists, these accessible outdoor practices have become a summer favourite for both music lovers and wellness enthusiasts. Bring a mat, or a chair, and find your flow as music and movement come together in a moment of calm connection.

Outdoor Concerts
Experience the joy of live music under the open sky with our Outdoor Concerts series. Artists bring their music to downtown Ottawa’s parks and public spaces in a celebration of spring and summer soundscapes.
Bring a seat or a blanket and soak in chamber music al fresco.
Note: In case of inclement weather, performances may be moved indoors.

Chamber Pints
Grab a drink and have a listen! Chamber Pints is Chamberfest’s bar concert series, bringing genre-bending chamber musicians into Ottawa’s favourite casual evening spots.
Tickets are typically PWYC (pay what you can), and some shows are standing-room only. Expect two lively sets of about half an hour each, with time to chat and share a drink between performances.
Past Chamber Pints artists have included Raphaël Weinroth-Browne, Radia, William Lamoureux, Anna Ludlow, Akeem Oh, and Angélique Francis, at venues like Redbird, Farmgate Cidery, SAW Gallery, Irene’s, the Rainbow Room, and Happy Goat.

Community Collaborations
Our community programming extends throughout the year through creative partnerships and special events that bring Chamberfest’s spirit to new audiences and unexpected places.
Collaborations with local organizations – including film screenings, public art activations, and performances in non-traditional spaces – ensure that Chamberfest’s reach goes far beyond the concert hall.
