Hinrich Alpers: The Late Beethoven Piano Sonatas II
Superstar pianist Hinrich Alpers returns to Chamberfest twice for the thrilling culmination of his Beethoven solo piano sonata cycle. Ready to bring down the house with the mammoth Late Sonatas, considered to be some of today’s most demanding piano repertoire (including the otherworldly No. 32 in C minor), don’t miss this treat-of-an-evening for piano lovers. A fan favourite, this Honens Prize Laureate packed the house in 2022, so be sure to buy your tickets early for both concerts, with Part 1 taking place on Saturday July 22. Celebrate the end of the cycle with us and be amazed as Alpers fills the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre with joyous Steinway sound!
