Makedonissimo
With Makedonissimo, meaning “very Macedonian,” renowned pianist Simon Trpčeski sets Beethoven and Brahms aside to celebrate the music of his homeland. In this passion project, Trpčeski and friends braid together the incredible rhythms and haunting melodies of Macedonian folk music with jazz-influenced riffs and harmonies, bringing this energetic combination to life with incredible virtuosity and charm.
Don’t miss Simon Trpčeski and Friends at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre immediately preceding this Chamberfringe show, performing staples of the repertoire and new Macedonian chamber music. Learn more here.
