Beth Silver

Beth Silver is an involved cellist based in Toronto. She is admired for expressive, compelling playing, an ability to paint in many colours through her instrument, and for capturing character and spontaneity in music. A lover of many genres, Silver is equally at home in a traditional classical ensemble as she is in a band arranging and exploring new voices for cello. Recently, she has also assumed the role as North America’s foremost (read: only) klezmer fiddle-style cellist.
