Philippe Charbonneau

Philippe Charbonneau is a musician and producer based in the Outaouais.

Charbonneau is a band member and plays upright bass in the experimental instrumental groups Scattered Clouds, Ferriswheel and Esmerine. He is a co-founder of Hull-based E-Tron Records, and has produced albums for many other artists. Charbonneau has performed Listen/Hear ambient performances at Ottawa City Hall, and also wrote an ambient piece for Artengine’s Sonicity Project.  Outside of his own compositions, he also plays bass and keys for artists Jim Bryson and John Carroll, has toured with Evening Hymns on keys, and for is part of a stable of bassists working with Montreal artists Camille Deléan, Michael Feuerstack and Land of Talk.
