John Kofi Dapaah: Perspectives

This concert finds the multitalented pianist John Kofi Dapaah firmly in the classical world with a program of works by Florence Price (*Ottawa premiere), Bach, and Beethoven. Audiences can also take in John’s jazz set on Monday, July 24 at 5pm, part of the Record Centre Series.

Johannes Brahms (1833 – 1897) | 6 Klavierstücke, Op. 118 (excerpts)
I. Intermezzo in A minor – II. Intermezzo in A major – III. Ballade in G minor

Franz Schubert (1797 – 1828) | Impromptus, Op. 90 (excerpts)
I. Allegro in E flat major – IV. Allegretto in A flat major 

Florence Price (1887 – 1953) | Sonata in E minor
I. Andante – Allegro — II. Andante — III. Scherzo (Allegro)

John Kofi Dapaah will be presented as a pre-recorded digital concert included in your Festival Livestream Pass. Single tickets for livestream and limited in-person opportunities will be available in July.

This performance is outdoors in the Steinway Piano Gallery Ottawa parking lot: seating will be limited, and you may need to bring your own weather protection if desired.
