Haydnfest

Saturday 25 July to Wednesday 5 August. Explore the seminal works of Joseph Haydn, “father of the string quartet,” in thirteen concerts and learning events hosted by Geoff Nutall, first violin of the St. Lawrence String Quartet. In these, and especially the six Op. 20 quartets, Haydn developed revolutionary compositional techniques that defined the art for the next two centuries. Featuring performances by the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Calidore String Quartet, Afiara Quartet, Cecilia String Quartet, Quatuor Danel, and Eybler Quartet.
